'N' Gauge Ambridge

Ambridge is a layout donated by a former member. Club members have refurbished the layout.

In 1872 the Archers, owners of Brookfield Farm in the village of Ambridge in Borsetshire, managed to persuade Parliament to give them a branch line to export their nationally recognised soap.

The branch managed to escape Dr. Beeching’s cuts due to the popularity of the daily documentary on Radio 4. It continues to this day with a mix of heritage steam and modern traction.
